Plot summary
An ordinary family outing to the beach is where it begins, and it is after her best friend's death that a teenager named Lise Bataille, from a middle-class family, comes under investigation. She is on trial for murder now, with her mother Céline and her father Bruno beside her. A prosecutor sets out the state's case, and a lawyer answers for Lise. What the court asks from her is an account of the life she has been leading, a life that does not always fit the morality the justice system approves of. Her secret life is laid out in the courtroom, and her parents deal with the trial in their own ways.
