Plot summary
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City sells a million units within a day of release, and the brothers who head Rockstar Games, Sam and Dan Houser, begin planning a bigger game, one based on gang warfare in South Central Los Angeles in the early 1990s. The following June, in Fayette, Alabama, eighteen-year-old Devin Moore, a persistent Vice City player, shoots three people at a police station. Florida attorney Jack Thompson questions Moore in prison, plays the game himself, and gathers expert analysis of violent images and their use in the military. He sues Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive for damages on behalf of the families. Fans of the game vandalize his house and make threatening phone calls.
