Plot summary
A group of Native American men and women in their twenties left reservation life in the Southwest during the 1950s and settled in Bunker Hill, Los Angeles. The neighborhood was a blighted residential area of decayed Victorian mansions, a place that appeared in writings by Raymond Chandler, John Fante, and Charles Bukowski. The film takes the form of a narrative feature, with its script pieced together from interviews with the people it shows. It follows the group through a night out in Bunker Hill, a gritty neighborhood, where they drink and socialize. The cast is made up of American Indian actors.
