Plot summary
Nearly thirty years after two surfers traveled the world for an earlier film, Pat O'Connell and Robert Weaver set out to follow their route. Weaver goes by the name Wingnut. The two hunt waves in France, South Africa, Costa Rica, Australia, Bali, Java and Alaska, and meet many of the people and see many of the places the original trip had visited. Surfing has grown and changed in the years between: O'Connell rides a shortboard, a design that appeared after the first journey, and the cameras also record windsurfing and bodyboarding, while the earlier movie had shown only longboard surfing.
