Plot summary

David Poe is making a horror film with actors Shelly Poe and Eric, effects artists Paul and Marcus, and gofer Topaz, using an abandoned hospital as the set. Shelly's sister Nina Poe arrives angry that Shelly took the part she wanted and demands that the special effects be reworked for her. Filming pauses, and the crew explores the building, finding a laboratory and a corpse in a strange coffin; the scientist who worked there, Dr. Eibon, recorded that he had restored the dead. David decides to use the body as a prop and Shelly quits. When filming resumes, Eric's handling of the coffin brings Eibon back and opens a vortex that releases zombies from a dead world.
