Plot summary
A guided school visit to the Center for Experimental Archaeology ends with the discovery of Eva Santos, a young woman from Atapuerca, dead and arranged in a fetal position on the ground reserved for a Neanderthal burial replica. The staging recalls a ritual crime at the same site six years before, when the taxidermist Carlos Béjar escaped. The town asks whether he has come back. Judge Vázquez de Mella assigns the case to Silvia Guzmán and Daniel Velarde.
