Plot summary
Deep under a Colorado mining town, tunnels that once served bootleggers have been sealed for a century, since a mysterious massacre brought in the military to close the mine. A construction team of four men is at work reopening the old silver mine, and their digging sets loose creatures that have been dormant for centuries. The Boogens are scaly, with bodies between those of a turtle and a spider. Anyone who enters the tunnels is killed, and the townspeople come under attack as the work goes on. The creatures, hungry for human flesh after so long asleep, are out.
