Plot summary
Three World War II veterans live in a rural midwestern town in 1958. Jack Fisher, a pilot, takes a call from his sheriff brother Henry about a suspected serial killer Henry has been tracking. At a barn they find Bob Halloran, a longtime friend of the brothers, among a posse facing the suspect, who holds a young girl inside. When the posse learns the girl is dead, the men fire into the barn and wound the suspect. Jack, Henry and Halloran put the wounded man aboard Jack's plane, and a choice made during the flight sets the three men against one another.
