The Amityville Curse (1990) on Netflix

Plot summary

In Amityville, New York, a Catholic priest is shot in a church confession booth that is later kept in the clergy house basement. Twelve years on, psychologist Marvin and his wife Debbie buy the house and invite three friends, Frank, Bill and Abigail, to renovate it. Debbie feels uneasy at once, hears noises below and has nightmares about the booth. Marvin dismisses her fears and asks her to write the dreams down for analysis. Mrs. Moriarty, the former church secretary, pays a visit. Marvin and Bill search the basement, where Bill finds the booth among old church items. Odd disturbances follow, and all but Marvin think the house is haunted. They arrange dinner at a local bar, but Frank stays behind with a migraine. Debbie later meets Mrs. Moriarty in the bathroom, who rants about the priest.
