Plot summary
Damon Gameau runs an experiment on himself, changing from his usual diet, which contains no refined sugar, to a health-conscious one that is low in fat and high in sugar, the equivalent of 160 grams, or 40 teaspoons, of sugar each day. The sugar comes from foods commonly seen as healthy, and his calorie intake stays at its previous level. Experts he interviews point to fructose as a possible main culprit, and say artificial sweeteners may be no better.
