Plot summary

Two women tell their stories from different parts of Mexico. Miriam Carbajal works at Cancún International Airport until she is accused of human trafficking and imprisoned in the north of the country, in a prison that a cartel controls. Adela Alvarado works as a circus clown and has spent ten years trying to find Mónica, the daughter who disappeared. Their accounts are heard in their own voices along highways and through landscapes from north to south, and they touch on what fear does to a life, and on the love, dignity and resistance that keep the two women going, in a country where violence has taken hold of what people desire and dream.
