Plot summary
Dominik Santorski is a popular student at a private high school, with wealthy parents whose careers keep them out of touch with him. At an after-prom party, a classmate, Aleksander, dares a girl to kiss her friend if he kisses Dominik, and the boys' kiss is filmed and posted online. Teased at first and then harassed, Dominik withdraws. Sparring with Aleksander at judo practice leaves him aroused, and that too is relayed online. Through a comment he left on a self-harm video, Dominik is invited into a 3D social network, and there Sylwia draws him into a chat group called the Suicide Room. She harms herself and wears a mask, and Dominik begins skipping school to spend time with her.
