Plot summary
The bombs have fallen, the Earth is defoliated, and the survivors live in colonies, endlessly hunting for drinkable water. Delha, a young woman, holds the location of one of the last springs, a source kept by a group of Amazons, and the warlord Kardis wants that secret from her. She is on the run from Kardis and his henchman when Stryker and Bandit come to her aid. Kardis's crew traps her again and tortures her; she refuses to say where her colony lies. Kardis commands a crew from a fortress, and Stryker and Bandit turn their attention to a water tanker of his.
