Plot summary
Stanisław Szukalski was a Polish artist and sculptor who taught himself the craft. He devised a language of his own making. A Nazi bombing raid once destroyed all of his output. In the years before World War II, nationalism and antisemitic views shaped his thinking. Artists in Los Angeles came across his sculpture, and the documentary tells the story of his difficult life and the complicated body of work he produced, with people who knew him among those recounting it.
