Plot summary
Léo works as a screenwriter and needs a subject for his next film; in the south of France he is hunting the wolf he wants to put on screen. On a scouting excursion he meets Marie, a shepherdess who lives freely and takes the lead, and they spend time together. Nine months later Marie gives birth to their baby. Léo is often away, arriving and leaving without warning, and Marie, sunk in post-natal depression since the birth and with no faith in him, abandons them both. Léo is left in the south of France with an infant to raise on his own.
