Plot summary
In 1993, Evan Chandler asks a pop star for money in exchange for not making an accusation public, first $20 million and later $1 million, and the singer refuses to pay. Chandler then takes his 13-year-old son, Jordan, to the psychiatrist Mathis Abrams, and Jordan tells Abrams that the singer molested him. Abrams reports the account to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, the Los Angeles Police Department opens an investigation, and in September Jordan files a lawsuit through his parents. The documentary sets out this history and argues that the singer is innocent, presenting him as a victim of tabloid journalism.
