Plot summary
A mission for WISE ends, and Loid's handler Sylvia Sherwood warns him that Operation Strix may pass to someone else unless he shows real progress. At Eden Academy, Anya's class holds a cooking contest, and the winner may earn a Stella star. Because the principal who judges it favors Meremere, a dessert from the northern city of Frigis, Loid takes the family there to taste it and learn to make it. On the train, Anya finds a key and, guided by their dog Bond's visions, decides a treasure is on board. She pulls chocolate from a suitcase and eats it, not knowing a microfilm lies inside. The suitcase's owners try to grab her, and Yor knocks them out. In Frigis, Colonel Snidel, an Ostanian officer, seizes the last Meremere and humiliates Loid.
