Plot summary
Nancy Gibson arrives home from Paris, where her sick mother needed her, and finds a household ready to welcome her: her husband's business partner Billy Ross and Billy's wife Sally, who is Donald's sister. Nancy then learns that Donald has been keeping company with Peggy Preston, a woman who often brings her mother, Mrs. Preston, along. He plans to marry Peggy once Nancy agrees to a divorce. Nancy is stunned, but she still loves Donald and wants to stay with him. Rather than play the wronged wife, she invites Peggy and Mrs. Preston to the house for the weekend and pretends to be in love with Sir Guy Harrington, a man she met on the voyage home, inviting him to join them.
