Plot summary
Chin Tai Ba is a plainclothes policeman who uncovers crimes committed by Cho Tin-pa and means to report them to the capital. Cho learns of his plan and sends a group of thugs to hunt him down. Badly beaten in one encounter, Chin is pulled to safety by Cub, a young street urchin, who takes him to his master, Chung Yiu. When Cub is hurt in a fight with local bullies, Chung Yiu decides to teach the two of them the Sleeping Fist style and drills them in its techniques. Once their training is done, Chin, Cub and Chung Yiu head for the Shang Wei martial arts school, where the bullies who injured Cub belong.
