Plot summary
China is cutting ties with every other nation, having shrunk its citizens to the height of two inches, and its ambassador, Ah Fong, announces at a press conference that twins hold the key to all knowledge. In the United States, the press calls Caleb and Letitia Swain the most beautiful of the beautiful people, yet the twins they have, Wilbur and Eliza, are called monsters. Dr. Frankenstein, the family doctor, tells the Swains that the children have only months to live, so the couple leaves them in a mansion staffed with servants, among them Sylvester. Wilbur and Eliza have large heads, and their parents do not visit them.
