Plot summary

Chris Decker lives in Montana in a high-tech house he designed himself, secured by Watchdog, the security software he wrote for his company. He is putting off signing divorce papers from his wife Jamie, who felt the program came first. During a late-night shop he meets Sky, a young woman whose Uber has been cancelled, and drives her to the motel where she is staying with her roommate Lisa. She waits at his house instead of going in, and they spend the night together. When Chris breaks his leg in a scuffle with someone trying to break into his car, Sky offers to look after him and he gives her the passcodes to the house. Jamie proposes a Friday visit with their daughter Willow.
