Plot summary
Pi, a young fish, lives with his parents in a harbor until a fishing boat's net hauls them up. His parents push him free, and before she is taken his mother Piper makes him promise to stay with his aunt Pearl. His porpoise friend Percy and Percy's mother Meg bring him to a Caribbean reef, where three elderly marlins point him toward Pearl's home. Pearl, a fortune teller, reads his future and tells him the reef holds his destiny. On the way Pi falls for Cordelia, an angelfish model, and meets his cousin Dylan. Troy, a tiger shark, has already set his sights on Cordelia, and he attacks Pi when Pi steps in.
