Plot summary
Steven McKray is a marine biologist. A friend of his died in a shark attack in South Africa, and a verdict of accidental death was given when the remains were found inside a hammerhead shark. McKray doubts that explanation and travels to the fishing village to look into the case. There he meets Lawrence Rhodes, who owns a hotel, and the scientist Miles Craven, who tells him that shark attacks in the area have been increasing. The sister of the dead man joins McKray on a dive to gather facts.
