Plot summary
Alia Arora cannot sleep, and Bipin Arora, who adopted her, draws her a dream on paper each night hoping it will help. Bipin's wife Geetu and his mother Kamla give her no attention, but Bipin and his daughter Isha love her. Isha is to marry Robin Fundwani at a wedding in London, a union between the Aroras and the Fundwanis; the Aroras are bankrupt and need it. On the drive to the venue, Bipin's car is hit by a motorcyclist, Jagjinder Joginder. Jagjinder is the wedding's event manager, and he is taken with Alia at first sight. Robin is obsessed with fitness and looks at Isha with contempt for her weight and her love of food. Kamla, who pays for the wedding, is annoyed that a magazine gives the groom's father a larger photograph than hers.
