Plot summary
Barbara Duggen's fabric shop is on the verge of bankruptcy. A botched sewing appointment sends her out to replace a client's lost button, and on that errand she stumbles upon a drug deal gone bad. Two downed motorcyclists, guns, and a briefcase are on the scene, and she is torn about what to do. Three choices are open to her: she can take the briefcase and try to get away with it, she can call the police, or she can drive away. The story follows the repercussions of each decision and the confrontations that come with them, as Duggen becomes entangled with the case's owner.
