Plot summary
Claire Parker works the night shift at a convenience store and counts on her boyfriend Jimmy to collect her when it ends. The truck that pulls up is Jimmy's, but the man driving it introduces himself as Duke, and on the ride to her house he makes sexual comments about her that grow more overt. At home she refuses to let him in when he says she dropped an earring; he leaves it on the porch. As she crouches in the doorway to retrieve it, her back door stands open, and Duke, who came in that way, kills her. Claire wakes at the store again, unharmed.
