Terry Alexander
Biography
Born in Detroit, Terry Alexander trained in theater at Wayne State University and began his career in the 1960s with an African American theater group. He appeared on Broadway as Johnny Williams in No Place to Be Somebody and as Roger in Streamers, and he had a recurring role as Sgt. Zach Richards on Another World from 1972 to 1974. On television he took parts in Hill Street Blues and portrayed police commissioner Troy Nichols on One Life to Live from 1990 to 1993. His films include Flashpoint (1984), Day of the Dead (1985), in which he played John, The Horror Show (1989), Amateur (1994), and Conspiracy Theory (1997). He also appeared in Off-Broadway and regional theater productions and guest starred on shows such as Fame, Law & Order, and New York Undercover.
