Behind the award
During her time on All My Children, Lucci earned 21 Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She won the award just once, in 1999, on her 19th nomination.
Beyond film
In 1999, Lucci took on the title part of Annie Oakley in a revival of the Irving Berlin musical Annie Get Your Gun.
A role that slipped away
Lucci turned down an earlier invitation to appear on Dancing with the Stars, partly because the show taped in Los Angeles while All My Children taped in New York, so travel would have been required of her.
