Biography

Stanley DeSantis was an American actor who also ran his own businesses. Born in Roslyn and raised around Chicago, he finished high school at Thornton Township in 1971 and went on to appear in a long list of motion pictures. Among them were Candyman (1992), Ed Wood (1994), Boogie Nights (1997), Rush Hour (1998), I Am Sam (2001) and The Aviator (2004). Television kept him busy as well: he turned up in three episodes of Entourage, whose season two finale carried a dedication to him, and he appeared in the Six Feet Under episode The Silence. Outside acting, he owned a clothing and memorabilia company and a novelty soap business, both dealing largely in licensed characters. He died in 2005.
