Stanley Bennett Clay
Biography
Stanley Bennett Clay is an American actor, writer, playwright and director for stage and film who also works as a producer. Born in Chicago, he is best known for his screen roles in All the President's Men (1976), Minstrel Man (1977) and I, Robot (2004), and he has said that he prefers directing and producing to acting. For the play Ritual, which he co-produced, wrote, and directed, and later adapted for film, he earned three NAACP Theater Awards. His novels include Looker and In Search of Pretty Young Black Men, both published by Simon & Schuster, and Aching For It, Hollywood Flames and Madame Frankie, published by Ellora's Cave. With James Earl Hardy he also wrote Visible Lives: Three Stories In Tribute To E. Lynn Harris.
