Ryan Kiera Armstrong

Ryan Kiera Armstrong is an American actress born in New York City who began performing on screen as a child. Her first television role was Minnie May Barry in the Canadian series Anne with an E, which she played between 2017 and 2019. At age eight she entered film with the drama The Art of Racing in the Rain. Later roles included the title part in Firestarter (2022), along with Wildflower (2022) and The Old Way (2023). That Firestarter performance brought a Golden Raspberry Award nomination for worst actress, which was withdrawn after criticism that she was only 12; the organization apologized and later barred minors from such nominations. On television she appeared in American Horror Story: Red Tide and played Fern in the Star Wars series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (2024). In 2025 she was cast as the lead in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot for Hulu, but the following year Hulu passed on the pilot.
