Roy Thinnes

Roy Thinnes is an American actor who starred as architect David Vincent in ABC's The Invaders from 1967 to 1968, a series that became a cult classic. Born in Chicago, he served in the Army as a military policeman before moving to California and studying at Los Angeles City College. His first prime-time part came in a 1962 episode of The Untouchables, and he later played Dr. Phil Brewer on General Hospital from 1963 to 1965, which was called his big break. He starred in the short-lived series The Long Hot Summer and The Psychiatrist, and in 1973 he played investigator David Norliss in The Norliss Tapes and appeared in Satan's School for Girls. His films include Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (1969), Airport 1975 (1974), and The Hindenburg (1975). He returned to The Invaders in a 1995 mini-series and appeared in The X-Files and the 2005 film The Eyes of Van Gogh.
