Ross Noble
Biography
Ross Noble is a comedian and actor from England who became widely known through British television appearances, especially panel shows. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne and raised in Cramlington, Northumberland, he started performing stand-up as a teenager and developed a surreal, improvised style built around heckles and chats with the audience. A 2007 Channel 4 poll placed him tenth among stand-up comics, and the 2010 version of that list put him eleventh. He won a Time Out award in 2000 for Chickenmaster and was nominated for a Perrier Award in 1999 for Laser Boy. His tours were released on DVD, and he made BBC Radio 4 series such as Ross Noble Goes Global and Ross Noble On..., hosted Freewheeling on Dave, made his film debut in Stitches (2012) as an undead birthday clown, and played Franz Liebkind in The Producers in 2015 and Igor in Young Frankenstein in the West End, winning a WhatsOnStage Award and an Olivier nomination.
