Stitches (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Richard Grindle performs as a clown called Stitches. He turns up late to Tommy's tenth birthday party, where the children mock him instead of laughing. Vinnie ties the clown's shoelaces together and Tommy throws a ball at his face. Stitches falls on a knife and dies. At the grave, Tommy notices clowns going into a disused building and follows them; the cult's leader, The Motley, tells him a clown who dies before a party is finished cannot rest. Six years on, Tommy is preparing for his sixteenth birthday and still has frightening visions. He wants a small party, but Vinnie sends out many more invitations online, and the house fills with guests, Kate among them. Vinnie, Richie and Bulger, who were all at the first party, help him set up. Then Stitches leaves his grave.
