Biography
The English singer and songwriter Robbie Williams first found fame as the youngest member of the pop group Take That, performing with them from 1990 to 1995 before launching a solo career the following year. His debut album, Life thru a Lens, appeared in 1997 and contained his best-selling single, Angels, while its follow-up, I've Been Expecting You, gave him his first two British number one singles. He has landed seven UK number one singles, and nearly all of his 14 studio albums have topped the British chart. Concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew more than 375,000 people. He has received a record 18 Brit Awards, including four wins as Best British Male Artist, and entered the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. He rejoined Take That in 2010 for the album Progress, and the musical film Better Man, based on his life, was released in 2024.

Williams wrote "One Fine Day", "Nan's Song" and "Come Undone" without Guy Chambers, the first songs he wrote without Chambers' input.

The first single from the album was "Feel", which Williams and Chambers wrote. It was recorded as a demo, and when they tried to re-record the vocals Williams was dissatisfied, so he released the demo version as the first single.

Williams and Guy Chambers wrote the music and lyrics for a Royal Shakespeare Company stage adaptation of David Walliams' The Boy in the Dress, which opened in November 2019 in Stratford-upon-Avon.
A change of course
Williams recorded "It's Only Us" as the theme for the FIFA 2000 video game, and EA Sports included Port Vale in the game as part of the licensing agreement.
