Richard Wordsworth was born on January 19, 1915 in Halesowen, Worcestershire, England as Richard Curwen Wordsworth. He was an actor, known for The Curse of the Werewolf (1961), The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) and The Quatermass Xperiment (1955). He died on November 21, 1993 in Kendal, Cumbria, England.

Beyond film
Wordsworth had successful Shakespearian seasons at the Old Vic and Stratford-upon-Avon. He then took a starring role in Lock Up Your Daughters, the musical that opened the Mermaid Theatre in London.
Early training
Wordsworth soon decided acting suited him better, and after appearing with the Cambridge Footlights he went to London to train in drama at the Embassy School of Acting.
Beyond film
Wordsworth went on to tour Australia, taking the part of Fagin in the musical Oliver. He produced that production as well.
Beyond film
In his later years, Wordsworth created a solo show called The Bliss of Solitude as a tribute to his great ancestor, and he toured it in both Britain and the United States.
Behind the camera
Wordsworth also started the Wordsworth Summer School, which lasts a week and includes poetry, lectures and walks in the Lake District he loved.
