Randy Blythe
Biography
Randy Blythe is an American vocalist who became the lead singer and lyricist of the heavy metal band Lamb of God. Born in 1971, he moved to Virginia as a child and, after dropping out of college, tried out for Burn the Priest, the group that later became Lamb of God, joining in 1995. Their self-titled album arrived in 1999, followed by New American Gospel in 2000 and As the Palaces Burn in 2003. The major label debut Ashes of the Wake was certified gold, as was 2006's Sacrament. The song Redneck brought him a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2007. He appeared in Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005) and played Luke in The Graves (2009). Blythe wrote two books that became Publishers Weekly non-fiction best sellers, and in 2021 he played Dom in the television series Paradise City. Loudwire named him the 61st best hard rock and metal frontman in 2016.
