Peter Lupus

Peter Lupus is an American bodybuilder and actor who built a screen career from his physique. Born in Indianapolis, he studied at Butler University's Jordan College of Fine Arts, graduating in 1954, and won bodybuilding titles including Mr. Indianapolis, Mr. Indiana, Mr. Hercules and Mr. International Health Physique. He was among the bodybuilders who moved into Italian films of the sword and sandal kind during the 1960s, sometimes credited as Rock Stevens, appearing in Hercules and the Tyrants of Babylon (1964) and Challenge of the Gladiator (1965). In Muscle Beach Party (1964) he played Mr. Galaxy Flex Martian. His best known role is Willy Armitage, the strong, silent muscle man of the Impossible Missions Force on the television series Mission: Impossible from 1966 to 1973. Other television work included playing Tarzan on Jack Benny's show, a boxer on The Joey Bishop Show, a caveman on Fantasy Island, and the recurring part of Detective Norberg on the sitcom Police Squad!
