Michael Weaver
Biography
Michael Weaver is a Canadian actor, writer, director and musician who came to attention as Officer Smy in the Broken Lizard comedy Super Troopers (2001). After relocating from New York to Los Angeles, he made his television debut as the lead of The Mullets, with David Horsnby, John O'Hurley and Loni Anderson. He next appeared in Broken Lizard's Club Dread (2004), which brought him to the notice of Bill Paxton; Paxton cast him as the 1912 US Open champion John McDermott in The Greatest Game Ever Played, a part suited to Weaver's golfing. He has moved between comedy and drama across guest roles on shows including CSI, Law & Order, Parenthood and NCIS, and as a series regular on ABC's Notes from the Underbelly and The Joe Schmo Show: The Full Bounty. He also wrote, produced, directed and starred in his own YouTube series, Heavy Petting, and made a pilot presentation, Middle Ages.
