Biography

Mary Vivian Pearce is an American actress who has spent most of her career in the movies of John Waters. She began working with him in 1964 on Hag in a Black Leather Jacket, an independent short that was never released. She became part of the Dreamlanders, Waters's regular group of actors and crew. She appeared in all of his early shorts as well, making her the only performer in every film he has made. Her best known parts came in Mondo Trasho, Multiple Maniacs, Pink Flamingos (1972), Female Trouble (1974) and Desperate Living. Over time her appearances grew smaller, often as an extra or in minor roles, though she also played a protester in Cecil B. Demented. Among Waters's regular players, only she, Mink Stole and Pat Moran have acted in all his feature films.
