Kathryn Givney

Biography

Kathryn Givney was an American actress who worked in theater and film. Born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, she acted with the S. E. Cochran Repertory Company in 1928 and was cast in Stepping Sisters at the Hollywood Playhouse in 1930. She appeared in many films, including My Friend Irma (1949), Operation Pacific (1951), A Place in the Sun (1951), Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), Daddy Long Legs (1955), Guys and Dolls (1955), Lady Godiva of Coventry (1955), and That Touch of Mink (1962). On Broadway, her credits included This, Too, Shall Pass (1946) and Good Night, Ladies (1945). On television, she appeared in a 1962 episode of Hazel and in three Perry Mason episodes between 1957 and 1966. She died in 1978.
