Jo Ann Pflug
Biography
Jo Ann Pflug is a retired American actress who came to acting through broadcasting. Raised in Winter Park, Florida, she studied broadcasting at the University of Miami, hosting the radio program The Magic Carpet and the interview show Montage, and in late 1960s Los Angeles she became the first woman with a live weekly television talk show, on KHJ-TV. Her first screen credit was Cyborg 2087 (1966), and she gave voice to the Invisible Girl in a 1967 cartoon take on The Fantastic Four. Her first major role was an Army nurse, Dish Schneider, in MASH (1970). She went on to appear in Catlow (1971) and Traveller (1997), had a leading part in The Night Strangler (1973), and served as a Match Game panelist from 1973 to 1981 while co-hosting Candid Camera. On Rituals in 1984 she was the first performer cast as Taylor Chapin.
