Jim Youngs

Jim Youngs is an actor from Old Bethpage, New York, who began acting after he went to a Manhattan casting call for The Wanderers (1979) and landed a lead role under writer and director Philip Kaufman. He moved to Los Angeles in 1979, took a recurring part on Secrets of Midland Heights (1980), and trained with Harry Mastrogeorge. Supporting roles followed in Splendor in the Grass (1981), The Executioner's Song (1982), Footloose (1984), Youngblood (1986), and Nobody's Fool (1986). His first starring role came in the sports film Hotshot (1986), as a soccer player who sought advice from Pele. He later reunited with Wanderers co-stars Ken Wahl and Tony Ganios on Wiseguy (1987). His other credits include You Talkin' to Me? (1987), Keys to Freedom (1988), Skeeter (1993), NYPD Blue (1993), and Babylon 5 (1994).
