Jeremy Sheffield
Biography
Jeremy Sheffield is an English actor who began his working life in ballet, training at the Royal Ballet School before joining the Royal Ballet and later Northern Ballet Theatre. Born in Chelmsford, Essex, he danced in a Queen music video in 1984, a pastiche of L'après-midi d'un faune, and also appeared in Natalie Imbruglia's video for Torn in 1997. His breakthrough came on television as heart surgeon Alex Adams in the BBC medical drama Holby City, a role he played from 2000 to 2003, and he was Lancelot in the 1998 drama Merlin. His screen credits also include Murder in Suburbia and Hollyoaks, and he appeared in the films Creep (2004) and The Wedding Date (2005), the latter featuring him in a supporting part. He joined Hollyoaks in 2012 as Patrick Blake and left in 2015, returning in 2024 as Patrick's twin brother, Jeremy Blake.
