Hank Jones

Hank Jones is an American actor and musician who also became a genealogist and author whose Disney appearances brought him a broad audience. He was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in San Leandro, later studying communications at Stanford University. As a student he sang with Hank Jones and the White Bucks and formed the duo Hank and Dean with Dean Kay. Their first recording deal came from RCA Victor in 1961, and later records were issued by Capitol and Epitomé. The pair moved into television in 1962 on ABC's Tennessee Ernie Ford Show, splitting after Kay was drafted in 1963. Jones then concentrated on television and show business, starring in eight Disney films across the 1960s and 1970s. His television work included My Three Sons and The Patty Duke Show, and he was a frequent presence in comedy programs of those decades. He played Ringo Starr's twin in a TV adaptation of Mark Twain's Prince & The Pauper.
