Greg Chun
Biography
An American voice actor and musician, Greg Chun built his career around English dubs of anime and video games. Born in Evanston, he has also produced music for several projects by The Lonely Island, including Saturday Night Live, the 67th ceremony of the Primetime Emmy Awards, and Michael Bolton's Big, Sexy Valentine's Day Special. In the 2018 Yakuza spin-off Judgment, he voiced Takayuki Yagami in the English-language version. Already familiar with the franchise, he found the role gratifying because it demanded he set aside performance tricks and rely on authenticity and groundedness. He felt staying faithful to the spirit of the original Japanese version was challenging but enjoyed the character's blend of seriousness and comedy. The Hollywood Reporter and Game Informer praised his performance, EGM Now considered it stronger than Takuya Kimura's, and RPGamer praised both actors.
