Frank Maxwell
Biography
Frank Maxwell was an American actor who headed the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists between 1984 and 1989. Born in The Bronx, New York City, and a University of Michigan graduate, he began his acting career on Broadway, appearing in Death of a Salesman, South Pacific, and Stalag 17. His first television roles came in 1950 on Goodyear Playhouse and Philco Playhouse, followed by Big Town in 1951. He went on to guest star in many series, including The Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, Peter Gunn, The Fugitive, and Rawhide. He was a regular on the sitcom Our Man Higgins, playing Duncan MacRoberts in all thirty-four episodes, and later on Felony Squad and The Second Hundred Years. From 1978 to 1988 he played Dan Rooney on General Hospital. He died in 2004.
