Eric Close

Eric Close is an American actor who grew up in Staten Island and San Diego. After college, he began acting in Los Angeles theater, appearing in Rat Songs, and soon landed film parts in American Me and the television movie Safe House. On the NBC daytime soap Santa Barbara, he portrayed Sawyer Walker from 1992 to 1993 and was nominated for Outstanding Male Newcomer by Soap Opera Digest. Close later starred in a string of short-lived prime-time series, among them McKenna, Dark Skies, The Magnificent Seven, Now and Again, and the Steven Spielberg miniseries Taken. He is best known as FBI agent Martin Fitzgerald on the CBS drama Without a Trace, which ran from 2002 to 2009. He also had a recurring role as Travis Tanner on Suits and began playing Teddy Conrad on Nashville in 2012 opposite Connie Britton.
