Don Dubbins
Biography
Don Dubbins was an American actor whose career across film, stage and television began in 1953 with an appearance on the television series The Doctor. Born in Brooklyn, he took an early screen part in From Here to Eternity (1953) as the bugler Private Friday Clark, a role that went uncredited. His most prominent work came in the western Tribute to a Bad Man (1956) and the drama These Wilder Years, both opposite James Cagney. Further films included The Caine Mutiny (1954), From the Earth to the Moon (1958) and The Illustrated Man (1969). On television he turned up in dozens of series, among them Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Twilight Zone and Dynasty, and he appeared several times in the late 1960s revival of Dragnet. His final credit was a stage performance as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. He died in 1991.
