Dominic Jephcott

Dominic Jephcott is an English actor and writer who trained at RADA and began performing as a child. Born in Coventry, he graduated from RADA in 1975 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1978 before moving into television work. He became known for roles such as Detective Sergeant Hobson in The Beiderbecke Affair and Detective Inspector Hobson in The Beiderbecke Connection, and he appeared twice in Midsomer Murders as different characters. On television he also played Alistair Taylor, an adulterous surgeon, in Holby City, and Peter Gosford in Casualty. His film work includes The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982), in which he played Sir Andrew Ffoulkes, along with All Quiet on the Western Front (1979) and the horror film Inseminoid (1981). On stage, he took the role of David Durance when Indian Ink premiered in London, and on radio he played Marlowe in The Christopher Marlowe Mysteries.
